Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

lifecalendar (“App”) is a personal journaling and life-logging application provided by LS TECH LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Wyoming limited liability company in the United States. The App is available on iOS through the Apple App Store.

lifecalendar is designed around a single principle: your data is yours. All journal entries you create — text and photos — are stored exclusively on your device. They are never transmitted to our servers. We have no ability to access, read, or retrieve your journal content.

• No account is required to use the App.
• No advertising is displayed.
• No behavioral tracking is performed.

This Privacy Policy explains what limited data we do collect, how it is used, and what rights you have. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is part of our agreement with you, alongside our Terms of Service.

2. Definitions

2.1 App — lifecalendar, a personal journaling and life-logging application available on iOS. The App allows users to record daily moments in short text entries, optionally attach photos, and organize entries into user-defined categories. All content is stored locally on the user’s device.

2.2 User — Any individual who downloads, installs, or uses the App. No account registration is required.

3. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete such information.

4. Information Collection and Use

4.1 What We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or have access to:

• The text of your journal entries
• Photos attached to your entries
• Category names you create
• Any content you write in the App

Your journal content never leaves your device.

4.2 Anonymous Usage Analytics

The current version (v1.0) does not include any analytics SDK. No usage data is collected or transmitted from the App.

In a future version, we plan to introduce anonymous usage analytics using TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. When introduced:

What will be collected:

• Feature usage events (e.g., “entry created,” “photo attached,” “category created”)
• Timestamps of events
• Session frequency and duration
• Widget usage
• Settings changes

What will NOT be collected:

• Journal text or photos
• Category names or any user-created content
• Names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information

How anonymity will be maintained:

• User identifiers will be generated using a daily-rotating hash (salted SHA-256, reset every 24 hours)
• No persistent user ID will be stored or transmitted
• It will not be possible to link analytics data to a specific individual or to track a user across days

Your control (when introduced):

• You will be able to disable usage analytics at any time in the App’s Settings
• Disabling analytics will not affect any App functionality
• Previously transmitted data cannot be deleted because it cannot be attributed to any individual

When analytics is introduced, this Privacy Policy will be updated and you will be notified within the App.

4.3 Apple App Store Connect Analytics

Apple may collect aggregated analytics (download counts, crash reports, session data) through App Store Connect, subject to the user’s iOS privacy settings. This collection is managed entirely by Apple and does not involve any code or SDK in our App. See Apple’s Privacy Policy for details.

4.4 Feedback Form (Optional)

The App provides an optional feedback form to help us improve the product. Submitting feedback is entirely voluntary. If you choose to submit feedback:

What you submit:

• Your feedback message and category (required to submit)
• A screenshot, if you choose to include one (optional) — please ensure no sensitive personal information is visible before attaching
• Your email address (required, used only to reply to your feedback)
• Your name (optional, used to address you in replies and for public attribution if you consent)
• Whether you consented to public sharing of your feedback

What is automatically included:

• App version, OS version, device model, platform, and locale (used to understand the technical context of your feedback)

This data is transmitted to Tally.so (see Section 8). It is not used for advertising or behavioral tracking. Journal content is not automatically sent; however, if you voluntarily attach a screenshot, any content visible in that screenshot will be transmitted.

The legal basis for processing this data is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting privacy@lifeschool.tech, which will not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.

Feedback data is retained for 24 months, or until you request deletion. You may request deletion at any time by contacting privacy@lifeschool.tech.

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 Local Storage

All App data is stored exclusively on your device:

No journal data is stored on our servers. There is no network communication between the App and any server operated by us regarding your journal content.

Exception: When you voluntarily submit feedback through the optional feedback form (Section 4.4), that feedback data is transmitted to Tally.so, a third-party service. See Section 8 for details.

5.2 Data Security

Your data is protected by iOS Data Protection, which encrypts all App data using your device’s passcode. When your device is locked, journal data encrypted with the “Complete” protection class is inaccessible even if the device’s storage is physically accessed.

5.3 Your Responsibility

The security of your journal data depends on your device’s security settings. We recommend:

• Using a strong passcode or biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID)
• Keeping your device’s operating system up to date

5.4 Data Retention

We do not retain any of your journal data. All content exists solely on your device for as long as you choose to keep it. The current version of the App does not collect any analytics data. When anonymous usage analytics are introduced in a future version, such data will be retained by TelemetryDeck in accordance with their data retention policies.

6. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

6.1 Your Journal Content

We do not share, disclose, or have access to your journal content. It exists only on your device.

6.2 Anonymous Usage Analytics

The current version of the App does not collect or share any usage analytics. When anonymous usage analytics are introduced in a future version, they will be processed by TelemetryDeck. This data will contain no personally identifiable information and will use daily-rotating identifiers that cannot be linked to any individual user. See TelemetryDeck’s privacy policy for details.

6.3 Feedback Form Data

When you voluntarily submit feedback through the optional feedback form, the submitted data is processed by Tally.so, our feedback form provider (see Section 8). This data is not sold or shared with any other third parties. Submitting feedback is not required to use the App.

If you consent to public attribution of your feedback, your message and display name may be displayed on our website or App Store page. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting privacy@lifeschool.tech. Upon withdrawal, your feedback will be removed or anonymized within 14 days.

To exercise your rights regarding feedback data (access, deletion, or data portability), contact privacy@lifeschool.tech. We will respond within 30 days.

6.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal process. However, because we do not possess your journal content, we are unable to produce it in response to any request.

7. Users’ Rights and Choices

Because your data is stored locally on your device, you have direct and complete control over it.

7.1 Accessing Your Data

All your journal data is accessible directly within the App at any time.

7.2 Data Portability

The App provides a data export feature. You can export all your journal entries and photos in JSON/ZIP format via the iOS share sheet (AirDrop, Files, email, etc.).

7.3 Deleting Your Data

• Individual entries: You can delete any entry within the App. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
• All data: Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all data (journal entries, photos, settings, and widget data). There are no server-side backups or copies.

7.4 Usage Analytics Opt-Out

The current version of the App does not collect usage analytics. When analytics is introduced in a future version, you will be able to disable it at any time in the App’s Settings. Disabling analytics will not limit any App functionality.

7.5 Communication Preferences

The App does not currently send any marketing communications. If we introduce update notifications or other communications in the future, you will be able to opt out at any time.

7.6 Exercising Your Rights

For any questions about your rights or to make a request, please contact us using the information in Section 11.

7.7 Right to Lodge a Complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The lead supervisory authority for our feedback form processor (Tally.so) is the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA).

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with a minimal number of third-party services:

TelemetryDeck — Privacy Policy

Not included in v1.0. When introduced, will be used for anonymous usage analytics. Will receive only anonymous event data with daily-rotating identifiers. Will not receive any journal content or personally identifiable information.

Tally.so — Privacy Policy

Used for the optional in-app feedback form. When feedback is submitted, Tally.so receives the feedback content and technical context as described in Section 4.4. Tally.so is operated by Tally NV, incorporated in Belgium (European Union). Submitted data is stored on servers within the EU and is processed under GDPR. Tally.so’s terms of service incorporate a Data Processing Agreement pursuant to GDPR Article 28. Submitting feedback is optional; if you prefer not to share data with Tally.so, contact us directly at privacy@lifeschool.tech.

Apple (App Store and iOS) — Privacy Policy

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect analytics data subject to the user’s iOS privacy settings. Apple’s standard crash reporting may also be active if the user has enabled it in iOS Settings.

9. Future Features

We may introduce the following features in future updates. Each feature that involves transmitting data from your device will require your explicit opt-in consent before activation.

Cloud Sync: If introduced, this feature would allow you to sync journal data across your devices. Data would be encrypted before leaving your device. This feature would only activate when you explicitly enable it.

AI Features: If introduced, AI-powered features (such as reflection suggestions or pattern analysis) would prioritize on-device processing. If cloud processing is required, your data would be used only within the processing session and deleted immediately after. Your data would never be used to train AI models. You would be able to preview exactly what data is sent before any transmission occurs.

Social Features: If introduced, all content would remain private by default. Sharing would only occur through your explicit action, and you would be able to revoke shared content at any time.

When any of these features are introduced, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify you within the App. No feature that transmits your journal content will ever be enabled without your explicit consent.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy and notify you through the App.

Your continued use of the App after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

If a change materially affects how your data is handled — particularly any change that would cause data to leave your device — we will provide prominent notice and, where required, obtain your consent before the change takes effect.
